Apocalyptic Summer Privacy Policy

Version: privacy-policy-2026-09-04-v1

This policy relates to personal information used to administer the Apocalyptic Summer human-made community project (the “Project”).

Information Collected

The Project may collect your legal name or artist name, email address, country, bio, image or photo link, social links or handles, SoundCloud URL, submitted statements, and technical acceptance records such as policy versions, checkbox states, and acceptance timestamps. This implementation does not intentionally store your IP address. Hosting and email providers may process ordinary connection logs under their own policies. We do not solicit or knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as social security numbers, financial information, and logins. Please do not submit such sensitive personal information to us. If you submit sensitive personal information to us, upon discovery, we will use best efforts to delete and remove such information from the Project.

How It Is Used

We use information that we collect from or about you to: deliver and document stem permissions, administer the Project, verify eligibility and AI-free compliance, review submissions, contact participants, attribute artists, and promote selected submissions where permission has been granted. We do not sell or otherwise share your information to third parties. All collected information is used, retained, and stored solely for the purposes of operating and completing the Project.

Sharing and Retention

Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the project and with professional advisers. Public-facing artist information may be used in project promotion. Acceptance records and the exact policy text accepted may be retained to document permission and compliance. Information we collect will be retained only for as long as necessary to operate and complete the Project.

Additional Rights

Depending on your residence you may be entitled to additional protections of your personal information. Upon request, you may elect to opt-out of this policy and have your personal information removed from the Project. Electing to opt-out will result in your inability to continue participating in the Project.
